During growth, Honey Black Tea tree leaves are processed by a special "leafhoppers", as seen in its leaves curling from contact, which account for the tea’s rich, sweet fruity aroma. After chemical changes and fermentation, the tea exudes a rich honey-like aroma, creating a uniquely sweet and refreshing flavor. The Honey Black Tea from Qilai Mountain is made with Green Heart Oolong (Qing Xin) cultivar, which thrives in cold mountain regions. The unique mellow honey flavor is the fruition of natural cultivation care and is guaranteed to be Not Detected(ND) pesticide for every batch.
Qilai Mountain is located at the junction between Hualien County and Nantou County in Taiwan. The tea-bearing area sits at an altitude of 2000 meters, where the pure water and cold climate can reduce the bitterness of the catechins and increase the sweet taste of tea.
