Qilai Mountain is located at the junction between Hualien County and Nantou County in Taiwan. The tea-bearing area sits at an altitude of 2000 meters, where the pure water and cold climate can reduce the bitterness of the catechins and increase the sweet taste of tea.
The rich, soft, and bouncy tea leaves are all hand-plucked from Green Heart Oolong (Qing Xin) branches. Using soybeans to patiently grow the teas. This natural farming and a naturally fertilized environment combined with manual weeding and contaminant control, allow for a very high-quality high mountain oolong which is worth and very precious to savor.
